I am a writer, designer and creative thinker living and working in Dublin. My multi-cultural background is as unique as my name and as a single bilingual I sometimes see the world from a slightly different perspective. This helps me in my job(s) as a art-director, a journalist and a lecturer to come up with new ideas to make the mundane interesting.

  • writer: I am a journalist and writer at heart. I love stories of all shapes, styles and sizes and enjoy finding that special something that catches my attention. It doesn’t matter if it’s news, an interview, a feature, a review or a piece of fiction, I love to write them all and have a great time doing so. As Terry Pratchett said “Writing is the most fun you can have by yourself”!
  • designer: I am a trained graphic designer and have worked as the lead designer (art-director) on several national publications here in Dublin. Currently I am the art-director of Suburbia, a local complementary life-style magazine.
  • lecturer: As a part-time lecturer at DBS (Dublin Business School) I’ve discover how much I enjoy interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds. The great bonus is that while I am teaching them, I learn about things I never knew I didn’t know.

  18. Sending you the Reader Apperciation Award … see, I’m really not holding it against you that you like my sister’s blog better than mine. 😉

    • sorry … I ahve no idea wo your sister is and I bet it is just a coincident 🙂

      • I know. I was just teasing my sister through you. I hope you’ll forgive me. BTW, my sis is preachers wife in the know. We pick at each other all the time for fun.

I love your blog and always enjoy reading your posts.

It must be wonderful living in Dublin. Here in Middle Tennessee, though we do have seasons, it’s just hot most of the time.

      • ah good to know … well yes I love Dublin even when it’s wet like right now, but I would love to visit more of the states, Tennessee always looks like fun

      • It is. There’s lots to do and see. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, be sure to let me know.

      • will do but won’t be any time soon, sadly

  19. Your writing is so wonderful, you remember the moments in between and don’t leave out all the small things, quite simply Hemmingway-esque! (without the misogyny) 😀

  20. Hello Jensine! I’m happy that you found my blog and that it also lead me to yours. I am quite enjoying your writing and will check back often. Was tickled to see that you are in Dublin…my husband and I honeymooned in Ireland (a zillion years ago) and we just fell in love with the country. Wonderful people, wonderful places. Truly remarkable. I, too, am a graphic artist by training (although that life has gone by the wayside now). Some nice things in common 🙂
Thanks again and have a lovely day~

  44. Hey. I just found you’re blog. I love how you write about so many different things – it checks it interesting. Looking forward to seeing what comes next 🙂

  45. Goodness you stay busy. So many talents and so little time.

  46. I love coming here, it’s my favourite place! Sorry, I don’t say much 😦

    • you are so sweet and silence is golden

      • I admit I don’t hang around as much as I should to read other people’s tremendous blogs, mainly because I write most of mine at a work computer(!), but I genuinely enjoy your posts. I have an interest in English, a rather poor A level in the subject, and always wanted to be a journalist or author, but alas a lack of imagination, motivation and abundance of talent put a stop to all that!

But I appreciate true talent, that’s why I come back here! 🙂

      • oh you are too kind … and this will make me try harder 🙂

  47. Thanks a lot for “liking” my short short story! Your blog is intriguing to me and I will follow to see what happens. I hope you will visit me again on Tales for Life. Regards!
