The other day a friend asked me to take some photos for him. He makes these great novelty cakes and a magazine commissioned him to create a Beatles themed one. Being the creative type he made a floating Yellow Submarine, very cool and I hope the photos come out as good as the original looks (I can’t show the images just yet – hopefully soon).
Since he only lives up the road from me I had decided to walk, my camera on my hip and my lenses in a bag on my shoulder. And when I came across a few things that caught my attention on my way back, just as the day was turning to dusk, I decided to point and shoot.
So here are a few of urban Dublin sights I spied just around the corner from where I live:
The steeple on our charming old local primary school

a ‘boarded’ up door
a sneaky peak through holes in a metal door
a broken window – I loved the lace behind the holes
a detail of the window, I like the colours with the lace
flowers and graffiti up on the railway tracks
